India celebrates Samvidhan Divas, also known as Constitution Day, on November 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution in 1949. It is the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the father of the Indian constitution. The day was previously known as Law Day but was renamed in 2015 to emphasize the importance of a single document governing all legal authorities in India
